About Jon Yuen
I'm a strength and flexibility trainer.
Over the last 15+ years, I’ve examined the essentials, and have made it my mission to make movement a natural part of people’s lives.
I’ve coached thousands—from beginners to seasoned movers—taught workshops across time zones, certified and mentored aspiring trainers, and created courses used worldwide.
My approach is simple:
Master the fundamentals–
then shape them to suit your body and life.
Build sustainable programs–
make consistency feel like an adventure,
not a grind.Break the rules –
as long as it helps you put in consistent effort.
What I value:
Helping people build strong, flexible, and capable bodies that work outside the gym.
Learning from the rich culture and history of fitness to gain perspective on our (often small) concerns.
Sharing tools that empower—not overwhelm.
A bit about me:
I’ve worked as a professional dancer (I even did Eurovision)
I’ve studied martial arts in China (my father was my first teacher)
I’ve got an extensive fantasy book collection (+ ttrpg books)
I’ve got two cats, a Scottish Deerhound, and a daughter
The activity I’ve done the most of that I’m the worst at is climbing
